Allegro Press - London

Allegro Press was established on 11th November 1975 by Boguslaw M Maciejewski with the direct objective to publishing his own books. It later became Allegro Press Ltd under the ownership of his son James W Maciejewski where it still deals with the distribution of books written by its founder Boguslaw M Maciejewski.

‘Allegro’ is an Italian word and musical expression meaning ‘Lively’ and ‘Sprightly’. It is appropriate that Mr Maciejewski chose this as the title for his publishing firm as it deals with the publishing of books on music and composers.

We would also like to think it has a secondary meaning in that we distribute our books speedily and efficiently to all our customers so living up to the expression by the title of our publishing firm!
